2025 EIC & STEP Awards
ABC Greater Tennessee is pleased to announce the 2025 Excellence in Construction (EIC) online platform is open and now accepting applications.
Annually, ABC member general and specialty contractors have the opportunity to compete for honors in the construction industry’s premier awards program. The EIC Awards recognize top projects from across the country completed by members of the ABC Greater Tennessee chapter.
Using an online application process, share detailed project information, project difficulties, safety performance, and references to be judged by a panel of industry representatives from around the state.
All winners will be honored at the awards ceremony, held at the Grand Hyatt Nashville on December 11, 2025.

The ABC Greater Tennessee Chapter proudly hosts the Safety Training Evaluation Process (STEP) Awards annually in conjunction with the Excellence in Construction® (EIC) Awards. The STEP Awards honor companies that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to world-class safety performance in the construction industry. Established in 1989, the STEP program serves as a safety benchmarking and improvement tool, helping contractors evaluate and enhance their safety programs. By measuring safety processes and policies against key benchmarks, participating companies work toward reducing jobsite incidents and achieving industry-leading safety standards.
STEP recognizes participants at various levels, including Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond, with top-tier recipients eligible for national recognition. The program underscores the importance of safety as a core value in construction, benefiting companies of all sizes. Engaging in the STEP program reflects a company’s dedication to protecting its workforce and fostering a culture of safety excellence. Through participation, companies not only gain recognition but also contribute to raising safety standards across the industry, reinforcing their reputation and competitive edge.
