Apprenticeship Application

At ABC Greater Tennessee, we believe in building people through the merit shop philosophy: projects and personal advancement should be awarded based on performance, skill, and achievement. As a respected national association, we’ve been setting the standard for safety, quality, and integrity in the construction industry since 1950.

Apprenticeship is a combination of on-the-job training (OJT) and related classroom instruction under the supervision of a journey-level craft person or trade professional in which workers learn the practical and theoretical aspects of a highly skilled occupation. Apprenticeship with ABC Greater Tennessee is an Earn While You Learn model, meaning you get paid a good wage while completing coursework and OJT.
